A couple different designs for devices that aid in leveling strings from below. One uses a counter weight (adjustable), the other uses a spring to press a piece of flat steel upward against the strings of a unison

Here are the tools I use for leveling strings: Richard Davenport's Concert String Tool at bridge pins (I pull the strings almost horizontally to "wrap" them slightly around the pins) and for light lifting (or lowering) at the agraffes, and a conventional stringing hook for lifting at agraffes and V bars

This tool, which doubles as string height and leveling tool, provides access to all unisons (except where the plate horn blocks access) at strike point and doesn't require leveling the piano
